Singleton Mechanical Corkscrew.
Posted: 01/31/2013I have just this minute come across this interesting cutting from 1992 featuring a mechanical corkscrew by Singleton, an 18th century cutler and corkscrew maker.
Notice the price it sold for back in 1992!! I am sure there are many collectors who would pay a great deal more for the piece today, if it resurfaced onto the market!!

All these prices seemed high at the time, until 10 years had passed without another example appearing for sale......
